*Thanks so much for your patience, folks. I’m just catching up with this after the weekend.
This comic is a reference to this really old Tidal Wave Queen comic I did way back before the pandemmy. (Yes, I’m aware my Webtoon is super out of date) I made that comic because I felt like having a good butt was like a super power. I could destroy monsters with one view of my posterior. Happy Hispanic Heritage month to me and this butt. So this comic is meant to call that back and also talk about how I really feel about superheroes.
Most superheroes don’t really do practical stuff.
I already touched upon this in the Depressed Superman Comic, but I feel like superheroes could do a little more to help our current state of affairs. Most of their stories are theater kid slap fights. And don’t get me wrong. There’s a time and a place for Theater Kid Slap Fights (future comic idea loading…) But that time and place is not at the top of the Helpful Human food chain and not during a time of Climate Change.
DC Comics will never hire me to make a comic about Batman actually trying to save the environment by slapping corporate climate change offenders in the face. But gosh that comic would be neat.
