Love, Joolz - Hispanic Heritage Month

Someone owes me money.

Hispanic Heritage Month always seemed like an empty thing to me. Like…it doesn’t even start in the beginning of September. We Latinos don’t even get a month. We two halves of months nobody even likes. September is the end of fun. The first half of October is neat, but they couldn’t give us the second half? Do Americans need their Halloween season with less tacos? I have questions.

Guys, I would love a check. Some random check that should appear from some New York fortune built off Puerto Rican labor just to clear out my credit card bill would be great. That would be so much more useful to me than a month of empty gestures.

I have all this generational trauma to heal.
